The Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600 8630GBR module supports the following:
• 256 000 IP routes
• 64 000 MAC records
• Release 4.1 and earlier: 16 000
Release 5.0 and later: 32 000

8648GTR module

The 8648GTR module provides 48 10/100/1000BASE-T ports that use 8-pin module (RJ-45)
connectors. Each port operates either at 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1000 Mbps (1 Gbps) and
supports the IEEE 802.3ab standard. Distances of up to 100 meters are obtainable with CAT 5
unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable.

Interface module descriptions
Meaning
The port is disabled.
The port is transmitting data. The LED
flash rate indicates the level of activity on
the link.
The port is enabled, but has no link.
The port is linked and is enabled.
The port is disabled.
The port is receiving data. The LED flash
rate indicates the level of activity on the
link.
Data error.
The port is enabled, but has no link.
The module is online and is operating
normally.
The module failed its power-on self-test.
The module is inserted into the chassis
and diagnostics are running.
The module power is off.
