Prerequisites
• Remove the 8692SF/CPU from the Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600 using proper
removal procedures.

1. Locate the CPU daughter card installation kit and remove the CPU daughter card
2. Pick up the CPU daughter card.
3. Align the CPU daughter card connectors with the connectors on the 8692SF/
Installation — Modules
Installing the Enterprise enhanced CPU daughter card (SuperMezz)
and installation hardware.
The CPU daughter card ships from the factory with all required hardware. Ensure
your shipment includes all of the following items:
• CPU daughter card
• Hex key
• 2 socket head screws #2-56x0.625
• 2 socket head screws #2-56x0.188
