Avaya Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600 module fundamentals
Type
When Auto-Negotiation is disabled on a port,the port defaults to a particular speed (even if no
link connectionexists). The 10/100/1000 LED indicates this speed.
The Ethernet Routing Switch 8800/8600 8648GTR is an R module and supports the following:
• 256 000 IP routes
• 64 000 MAC records
• Release 4.1 and earlier: 16 000
Release 5.0 and later: 32 000
The 8648GTR module supports the prioritization of control MAC addresses. For more

8683XLR module

The 8683XLR module provides three bays for 10 Gigabit Ethernet small form factor-pluggable
(XFP) transceivers. The 10GBASE-R port (10.3 Gbps LAN PHY) operates in full-duplex
mode.
The 8683XLR module is comprised of three forwarding engine lanes. Each lane supports 10
Gbps bidirectional traffic. All three ports can run concurrently at 10 Gbps.
