Calibration/Adjustment Sequence

Check and, if necessary, adjust the following factors:
– Preload
– Reproducibility (standard deviation)
– Off-center load
– Span
– Linearity
Note:
The test procedures described in the following correspond to those described
in the Sartorius Standard Operating Procedures, numbers WKD-037-01 and
WKD-038-01. These also correspond to the specifications listed in the "Ser-
vice Specifications Sheets for Master
Balances."

Prerequisites for Calibration/Adjustment

The following conditions are required for calibration/adjustment of the bal-
ance.

Ambient Conditions

– An area with favorable ambient conditions
– A level surface, free of vibration
– No direct source of heat radiation
– No drafts

Operating Conditions

– The balance must be leveled using the level indicator
– The balance must have warmed up for the required period of time
