TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Problem
8. Excessive mix leakage
into the rear drip pan.
9. Excessive mix leakage
from door spout.
10.No freezer operation
after pressing the AUTO
key.
11.Product is not feeding
into the freezing
cylinder.
12.The air/mix pump will
not operate when the
PUMP key is pressed.
13.The air/mix pump will
not operate when the
draw valve is opened
and the machine is in
the Auto mode.

14.The piston travels back
and forth but product is
not being pumped.

Probable Cause
a. Missing or worn seal on the
driveshaft.
b. The rear shell bearing is worn.
a. Missing or worn draw valve 
O-rings.
b. Inadequate lubrication of draw
valve O-rings.
c. Wrong type of lubricant is being
used (example: petroleum-based
lubricant).
a. Machine is unplugged.
b. The circuit breaker is off or the fuse
is blown.
c. The beater motor is out on reset.
a. Inadequate level of mix in the mix
hopper.
b. The mix inlet hole is frozen up.
a. The circuit breaker is off.
b. The power cord is unplugged.
c. The freezer is out on reset.
d. The pump motor is out on reset.
a. The pump motor is out on reset.
b. The relay is malfunctioning.
a. Inspect the pump valve gasket.
b. Inspect the O-rings.
c. Check the pump cylinder.
Model C706
Remedy
a. Install or replace regularly.
b. Call Taylor service technician to
replace rear shell bearing.
a. Install or replace regularly.
b. Lubricate properly.
c. Use the proper lubricant (example:
Taylor Lube).
a. Plug into wall receptacle.
b. Turn the breaker on or replace the
fuse.
c. Reset the freezer.
a. Fill the mix hopper with mix.
b. The mix hopper temperature needs
adjustment. Call a Taylor service
technician.
a. Check the breaker.
b. Plug in the power cord.
c. Reset the freezer.
d. Press the PUMP key to cancel pump
operation. Press the Reset button on
the side of the pump motor reducer.
Press the PUMP key to continue
pump operation.
a. Press the AUTO key to cancel the
pump operation. Press the Reset
button on the side of the pump motor
reducer. Press the AUTO key to
continue automatic operation.
b. Contact a Taylor service technician.
a. The pump valve gasket must be
installed correctly, fit tightly, and not
have any holes or lubrication.
b. O-rings must not be worn, torn, or fit
too loosely.
c. The piston must be assembled
correctly and fit snugly in the pump
cylinder.
