The Expansion Storage Shelf also contains two fans, on either side, and two power
supplies, in the top and the bottom slots. The power supplies should be connected
to the Power Distribution Units (PDU), which must be connected to an external
240V power supply. The two center slots contain expansion canisters, one of which
must always function. The Expansion Storage Shelf must be attached to a Primary
Storage Shelf by SAS cables, plugged into the expansion canisters.
