2. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
NOTE:
Gobi gritter can only be operated by personnel who learned content of this
manual.
Each gritter operator should be fully aware of potential risks resulting from its operation and
should know how to avoid them.
2.1. Safety rules
Before any operation read the operator's manual carefully.
Failure to have read the operator's manual can lead to damaging the gritter.
It is forbidden to use the gritter for any purpose other than indicated, in particular make sure no
people, animals or loads are present on the machine while transporting and operating.
Do not make any modifications of the design unless agreed with the manufacturer.
When driving on public roads always respect local traffic regulations.
Adjust operating speed of the tractor and gritter aggregate according to the current road
conditions.
Before operating the machine carry out its technical inspection paying particular attention to the
condition of the basic connections on the machine's assemblies as well as proper mounting of the
machine to the tractor.
Periodically check bolts and other fasteners. Do not operate with damaged or worn fasteners.
Gritter should be mounted to tractor only with use of original pins and safety devices.
When in standstill the gritter should be set in parking position, supported by a foot.
Use only original spare parts ordered at our store or at your dealer.
While performing any repair, maintenance and adjustment works always wear safety gloves.
Do not leave the tractor with mounted gritter on slopes. If needed, turn off the engine and engage
tractor's parking brake.
Emptied, cleaned and preserved gritter should be stored under a roof.
NOTE:
The person in charge of the machine's transport shall be responsible for
securing the danger area and performing the work.
