6.3. Registration Head Installation
1. Install the registration head with its supports resting on the seats of the VT thermal
mount (Fig. 6-9). The head shall firmly rest on the three supports without rocking.

2. Verify that the driving rod of the piezodriver adjoins the temperature chamber cover.
To do this:
a. Lift the rear support of the registration head so that the driving rod is detached from
the temperature chamber cover.
b. Slowly lower the rear support. The driving rod is spring-loaded and shall rise
slightly as you lower the rear support. You can see it throught the gap between the
registration head and the protective cover.
3. Secure the measurement head cable in the designated holder on the base unit.
