6.5. Adjustment of the Optical System for Detecting
Cantilever Deflections
To adjust the optical system perform the following procedures:
1. Run the control program.
ATTENTION! When working with the thermal scanner the program shall
be started first and then the thermocontroller shall be switched on.
2. Switch on the SPM controller.
ATTENTION! Tighten up all connectors before turning the instrument on.
Disconnection of connectors during operation may cause damage to the
electronic components.
