5.4. Cable Connections

Connect separate instrument units according to the diagram given in Fig. 5-12.
All connections are made according to the labels on the plugs.
ATTENTION! Before connecting of disconnecting any parts of the instrument
power off the controllers. Any connections during the instrument operation
may result in damage of the electronic circuitry.
1. Connect the base unit to SPM controller.
2. Connect SPM controller to PC.
3. Connect the thermocontroller.

4. Plug the VT thermal exchangeable mount to the base unit using connectors
SCAN+SENSOR and T.
5. Plug the registration head to the base unit using the HEAD connector.
6. Set the power switch of the SPM controller to the position corresponding to the value
of the local electrical power line (this is only done with the controller turned off!).
7. Connect the controllers to the power point.
ATTANTION! SPM controller can be connected to an electrical power supply
line of 110/220 V (60-50 Hz) after setting the voltage selection switch to the
position corresponding to this power supply line. Not following this instruction
may cause damage to the electronic components.
