7.1.2.

Setting "Feedback Gain" Factor Working Level

Для устойчивой работы рекомендуется устанавливать уровень коэффициента
усиления не более 0.5÷0.7 от порогового значения, при котором начинается
генерация. Регулировка коэффициента усиления производится в поле ввода FB Gain
на панели основных параметров.
A detailed discussion of the procedure for setting the working level of the feedback gain is
given in the book «Performing measurements», Part 3, Chapter 2, Section «Constant Force
Technique».
7.1.3.

Changing the Temperature of the Sample

1. Power on the liquid temperature control unit.
ATTENTION! Using sample heating/cooling feature without the liquid
temperature control system can cause damage to the Peltier modules.
2. Open the Additional Operations region by clicking the
corner of the program main window.
3. Switch on the temperature controller. Upon turning it on the Thermostat button will
appear in the Additional Operations panel.
4. Switch to the Thermostat tab (the Thermostat button on the additional operations
panel) (see Fig. 7-5).
5. In the Range drop-down list select Peltier.
6. Set the working temperature value in the T= input field.
7. Switch on sample heating/cooling using the
NOTE. When working with the VT thermal assembly, during initial heating,
as well as at any subsequent temperature changes, it is not necessary to
retract the sample from the probe as the design of the scanner enables
compensation of the resulting thermal drifts.
