Storage
• Fire hazard; do not store the machine where there is a possibility of ignition.
• Do not wash the engine or control panel with running water; water may enter
inside and cause rust or damage.
• Clean the machine before storage; dirt or foreign objects may freeze and cause
damage.
• Do not store the machine in a humid, dusty, or hot place.

Park the machine.
2.
Clean the machine; wash off dirt, mud, and remove grass and other foreign materials
after use.
3.
Check the machine according to Maintenance Schedule (Page 45). If a problem is
found, repair.
4.
Wipe clean the steel parts with oiled cloth and grease the specified greasing points.
5.
Change engine oil.
6.
Clean the air filter element.
7.
Drain fuel from the carburetor and fuel tank.
8. Turn off ( ) the battery off switch. Inspect and fill battery oil.(Yamaha Engine)
9.
Inflate the tires to a pressure slightly higher than the specified value. Chock front and
back of the front wheels.
10. Remove the battery from the machine. Inspect, fill, and charge the battery.
11. Cover the machine with a protective, water-proof covering after the machine is cooled
off.
NOTE
• The battery discharges even when it is not in use. A battery may hold charge for a
few months, but it is a good practice to charge the battery before it goes flat; it will
extend battery life.
• Refer to Engine Manual for detailed instructions on preparing the engine for storage.
