(1) Input data semaphore Rregister (0106H: 1 word)
This semaphore register is used to input data into the S controller from the DN611
(effective only in synchronous transmission mode). The register is used both in
polling mode and bit strobe mode.
• DN611 operation
The DN611 writes data, collected from the slave devices in polling mode or bit
strobe mode, into the polling/bit strobe input data area. After having written the
data, it writes "1" in the register.
• S controller ladder program operation
The ladder program for the S controller monitors this register. Upon detection of
the "1" written into the register, the ladder program reads the data from the "poll-
ing/bit strobe input data area, then writes "0" in the register, and notifies the
DN611 of read completion.
Do not write any other value than 0 in the semaphore register.
(2) Polling output data semaphore register (0105H: 1 word)
This semaphore register is used to output polling data to the DN611 from the S
controller (effective only in synchronous transmission mode).
• S controller ladder program operation
The ladder program writes data, to be output to the polling output data area, to
slave device in polling mode, then writes "1" in the register, and instructs the
DN611 to start output.
Do not write any other value than 1 in the semaphore register.
• DN611 operation
The DN611 monitors the register on the scan interval wait time cycle specified by
the S controller. Upon detection of the "1" written into the register, the DN611
sends the output data in the polling output data area to slave devices. When the
DN611 has finished the data output, it writes "0" in the register. The scan interval
wait time is explained in 4.3.3 Parameter setting request (local node).
(3) Bit strobe output data semaphore register (0104H: 1 word)
This semaphore register is used to output bit strobe data to the DN611 from the S
controller (effective only in synchronous transmission mode).
• S controller ladder program operation
The ladder program writes data, to be output to slave devices in bit strobe mode,
into the bit strobe output data area, then writes "1" into thee register, and instructs
the DN611 to start output.
Do not write any other value than 1 in the semaphore register.
• DN611 operation
The DN611 monitors this register on the scan interval wait time cycle specified by
the S controller. Upon detection of the "1" written into the register, the DN611
sends the output data in the bit strobe output data area to slave devices. When
the DN611 has finished the data output, it writes "0" in the register. The scan inter-
val wait time is explained in 4.3.3 Parameter setting request (local node).
