4. Precautions for Use of The Equipment
WARNING
Mandatory
The emergency stop circuit, interlock circuit,
etc. must be installed outside the model
2000 module. If the module fails or mal-
functions, such circuits, if built in, have the
danger of causing human injuries or acci-
dents. Mechanical damage or breakdown is
another possibility of their danger.
CAUTION
Forbidden
The power module, CPU module, I/O module,
and unit extension module are exclusive to
model 2000. Be sure to install them in the
basic unit for model 2000. Do not use them
independently or for other purposes. Other-
wise, it could cause electric shock, injuries, or
failure.
Mandatory
To install the modules in the basic unit, push
them in till you hear a click. Then fasten
them securely to the basic unit with screws.
If they are installed not securely, it could
cause failure and malfunction due to vibra-
tion, etc.

Check the operation of the sample pro-
grams shown in the manual before use.
Adequate check is essential to preventing
accidents due to malfunction.

Be sure to keep the terminal covers on the
module and unit, and never touch the termi-
nals while power is on. This is important to
avoid electric shock.

Program change, forced output, RUN (oper-
ation), HALT (stop) during operation require
a double-check for safety in advance.
Operation error or failure to confirm safety
could cause mechanical breakdown or acci-
dents.

In setting the operation setting switches on
model 2000, observe the specified proce-
dures and setting instructions. Unspecified
switch settings could cause failure or mal-
function.

Be sure to install a fuse of the rated current
capacity in the external circuit for the relay
module to protect it from overload.
Lack of a fuse could cause a load short-cir-
cuit with resultant mechanical breakdown or
accidents.
