Spike the Saline Bag
15. Using aseptic technique, connect the priming line to the sterile saline container. The priming line is
equipped with a "spike" connector. Hang the saline container on the hook provided.

Caution. Start-Up Kit spike. The spike on the Start-Up Kit is relatively long. Be careful not to puncture the
side wall of the saline bag when connecting to the Start-Up Kit.

16. Remove the air trap from its holder and hold it upside down (with the tubing connections pointing
downward).
