Mounting Example
This chapter provides information on the assembly of an XTS with
straight modules, curved modules, guide rails and movers. The as-
sembly is described taking as an example a simple symmetrical
system with 180° curves.
Note system view
The name plate in the illustration serves the purpose of orientation
in the following instructions. It helps you to be sure of the view from
which you have to assemble the XTS.
Observe the order of assembly
Assemble the XTS from the inside outwards. Insert straight mod-
ules first. Then insert curved modules and close the system. This
will help you to avoid complications with the positioning and assem-
bly of individual modules at the end of the mechanical installation.
The following illustration provides you with an initial overview of the
components that you need for the mechanical installation of the XTS
assembly example. Please note that the design of individual compo-
nents can vary depending on the application.
