Cleaning the device

This section presents cleaning procedures that pertain to service and repair. For daily cleaning
requirements and approved cleaning agents, refer to the Instructions for use.

Remove liquid spills from the device

Liquids can damage electronics inside the device. Follow these steps if liquids spill on the device.
1.
Power down the device.
2.
Disconnect the power cord from the mains outlet and the power source.
3.
Remove battery pack from the device.
4.
Dry excess liquid from the device.
5.
Reinstall battery pack.
6.
Reconnect the power cord.
7.
Power on the device and verify that the device functions normally before using it.
If liquids possibly entered the device, remove the device from use until it has been properly dried,
inspected, and tested by qualified service personnel.

Dry the equipment

1.
Allow all components except the LCD screen to air dry.
2.
Wipe the LCD screen dry with a clean cloth.
WARNING Patient injury risk. Clean all accessories, including cables and tubes,
before storing the accessories on the device or stand. This helps reduce the risk of
cross contamination and nosocomial infection.
WARNING Electric shock hazard. Before cleaning the device, disconnect the AC
power cord from the mains outlet and the power source.
WARNING Electric shock hazard. DO NOT immerse or autoclave the device or
accessories. The device and the accessories are not heat-resistant.
WARNING Liquids can damage electronics inside the device. Prevent liquids from
spilling on the device.
CAUTION Do not sterilize the device. Sterilization can harm the device.
