7. INCIDENTS AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem
Loss of efficiency and/or cutting quality for the Chainsaw
Selion M12
The Chainsaw Selion M12 will not start

Action
First of all check that the 4 basic rules are respected
• Chain tension: Section 6.4, "Automatic chain tension-
ing"
• Chain lubrication: Section 6.5, "Chain lubrication"
• Sharpness of the chain: Section 6.6, "Sharpening the
chain"
• Adjusting the depth limiters: Section 6.7, "Adjusting the
depth limiters"
If the problem persists, then proceed to:
• cleaning the chain guide: Section 6.9, "Cleaning the
chain guide"
• and when using an anti-kickback guide, to lubricating
the anti-kickback chain guide: Section 6.10, "Greasing
the anti-kickback chain guide"
Check the sprocket and replace it if necessary: Sec-
tion 6.8, "Checking and replacing the sprocket".
If none of these procedures succeeds in resolving the
problem, contact a certified distributor or after-sales ser-
vice PELLENC SAS.
Check the following points:
• Check that the Chainsaw Selion M12 is correctly con-
nected to the battery.
• Check the battery charge level.
If none of these procedures succeeds in resolving the
problem, contact a certified distributor or after-sales ser-
