C203 Main Board Removal

See Figure 3-10 on the following page.
1. Remove the upper housing (See page 3-4).
2. Remove the printer mechanism (See page 3-10).
3. Remove the connector cable for the ASF PW sensor from the CN8 on the main board.
4. Remove the connector cable for the Control Panel board from the CN17 on the main board.
5. Remove the connector cable for the PSB/PSE board from the CN15 on the main board.
6. Remove eight screws (six CBS screws, 3×8 and two CBP screw, 3×12) securing the upper shield plate to
the lower housing. See Figure 3-9.
7. Remove two screws (CBS, 3×6) securing the upper connector cover to the lower housing at the back,
then remove the upper connector cover.
8. Remove ten screws (eight CBS screws, 3×6 and two CP screws, 3×6) securing the main board to the
lower housing.
9. Remove the grounding contact for the Type-B Interface Board Guide.
10. Remove the Type-B interface board guide from the main board.
11. Remove the main board.
The connectors for the motor (CN20, 22 and 23) and for the ink cartridges (CN7, 12, 13 and
14) look similar. Be sure to connect them properly; inappropriate connections may result in a
malfunction of the PSE/PSB board or the main control board.
When the main board is replaced, reset the EEPROM immediately to avoid failures.

Be careful when servicing the lithium battery (See page 3-1).

Be careful with the sharp edges of the upper shield plate.
