ASF PW Sensor Adjustment

Follow the steps exactly in the way instructed, otherwise a fatal error may occur.


If these adjustments are inaccurate, proper operation of the printer is not guaranteed.
1. Enter the Sensor Check menu (See page 4-16).
2. Select ASF-Width and press Enter.
3. Spread both edge guides to their maximum width and press Enter.
4. Move the left edge guide to the right as far as it will go, then press Enter.
5. Move the left edge guide to the left as far as it will go.
6. Place the paper width detector position tool (with the A4 side in) next to the right edge guide and move
the left edge guide to the right until it comes into contact with the tool. Then press Enter.
7. Place the paper width detector adjust tool (with the A4 side out) over the right and left edge guides and
adjust the left edge guide to the left end of the tool, as shown in the figure below. Then press Enter; the
Sensor Check menu appears.
