5.2.1

Connecting the electrode holder and workpiece lead

Risk of crushing and burns!
When changing stick electrodes there is a risk of crushing and burns!
• Wear appropriate and dry protective gloves.
• Use an insulated pair of tongs to remove the used stick electrode or to move welded work-
pieces.

• Insert the electrode holder plug and workpiece lead into the welding current socket depending on ap-
plication and lock in place by turning to the right. The corresponding polarity will be based on the in-
formation of the electrode manufacturer on the electrode packaging.
