IMPORTANT
•
Since the air cleaner uses a dry
element, never apply oil.
•
Do not operate the engine with-
out installing the element.
•
Be sure to refit the cover with
the arrow (on the rear of cover)
upright. If the cover is improp-
erly fitted, the evacuator valve
will not function and dust will
adhere to the element. (Refer
to "Replacing Air Cleaner Ele-
ment" in every one year main-
tenance)

EVACUATOR VALVE

Open.the.evacuator.valve.once.a.week.
under. ordinary. conditions. -. or. daily.
when.used.in.a.dusty.place.-.to.get.rid.
of.large.particles.of.dust.and.dirt.

1..Release.the.parking.brake..
2.. Slightly. depress. the. clutch. pedal.
and. measure. free. travel. at. top. of.
the.pedal.stroke.
3..If.adjustment.is.needed,.loosen.the.
lock.nut.and.turn.the.turnbuckle.to.
adjust.the.rod.length.within.accept-
able.limits.
4..Tighten.the.lock.nut.
PERIODIC.SERVICE
CAUTION
To avoid personal injury:

Stop the engine and chock the
wheels before checking brake
pedal.
Proper brake
at.top.of.pedal.stroke
pedal free
Maintain.the.same.
