Securing the media in place with the suction function
Press [PAUSE/VACUUM].
You can use this function to secure media such as thin paper in place on the flat table by way of
the suction from the bottom of the flat table. However, if the ends of the object to be printed
on are rolled up, if the object to be printed on is thick, and in similar situations, it may not be
possible to secure the media in place. For objects to be printed on whose ends are rolled up,
secure the ends of the object to be printed on with tape, and then use the suction function.
P o i n t
If you want to further increase the suction force, use paper or something similar to cover the
holes that are not suctioning the object.
Secure the media with tape.
Secure the media in place using a substance such as commercially available tape affixed directly to
the flat table. If you do not want to use the suction function and for objects to be printed on that
cannot be secured in place with the suction function, you can use this method to secure the object
to be printed on in place. It can be set anywhere as long as it does not protrude from the top of the
flat table. Be aware that folds or kinks in the paper might hit the interior of the printer and cause
damage.
Close the front cover.
D
It is difficult to check the white ink if the paper for use in the printing test
is white. We recommend printing on transparent paper.
Because white ink is printed on a black undercoat, white ink can be easily
checked even when printed on white paper. However, printing takes
longer than "TEST PRINT."
