Maintenance That Must Be Performed Daily

Set the lower-right corner of the object to be printed on to the base printing position.
Set the base printing position (home position) at the front right of the print area. This method is
appropriate when the print site is level, and you can clearly specify the print area.
Print area setup can be performed with the front cover open. However, if the front cover is left
open for approximately 40 seconds, the print heads automatically return to the home position
to prevent the print heads from drying out. The menu returns to the previous one. Repeat the
procedure.
Procedure
Press [ ].

Press [ ] twice, and then press [ ] once to display the screen shown below.

SET BASE POS.
LOWER R CENTER
Press [ ] [ ] to select "LOWER R."

Press [ENTER] to confirm your entry.

Press [MENU], then [ ] to go back to the original screen.

Attach the object to be printed on for the printing test.
Procedure
Check that the following screen is displayed.

SETUP MEDIA
If this screen is not displayed, check that nothing has been placed on top of the flat
table, and then hold down [SETUP] for 1 second or more.
The flat table will come forward into a position in which the object to be printed on can be set up.
Open the front cover.

I M P O R TA N T
Be sure to hold the handle of the front cover and open and close it gently.
Secure the paper for the printing test.

Printing tests are used to check that no dot drop-out occurs. Use paper for testing (width
110 mm (4.33 in.) × length 70 mm (2.76 in.) or more), not the object that will actually be
printed on.
