When it is used as the wireless remote, there is
an obstacle between it and the remote sensor on
the instrument.

When the remote control unit (MAJ-898) is
used as a wireless remote, the remote cable is
connected to either the REMOTE 1 terminal of
this instrument or the cable connector of the
remote control unit.
A print sheet jam occurred Take measures as described in "4.3 In the Case of a Paper Jam" in "INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC)."
Paper jamming happens Print sheets have stuck to each other and these
frequently. stuck print sheets are double-fed into this
instrument.
Solution
Adjust the edge enhancement as described in the "Setting
"SHARPNESS"" on page 45 or "Setting "HD
SHARPNES."" on page 43.
Contact Olympus, and thermal heads is exchanged.
It is the specification of a product. This is not a
malfunction.
Set properly as described in the "Setting "BEEP"" on
page 59 in "INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED)."
Load batteries as described in "2.8 Preparation of the
Remote Control Unit (MAJ-898)" on page 22 in
"INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED)."
Replace batteries as described in "2.8 Preparation of the
Remote Control Unit (MAJ-898)" on page 22 in
"INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED)."
Remove the obstacle.
Use it as a wired remote by referring to "2.8 Preparation
of the Remote Control Unit (MAJ-898)" on page 22 in
"INSTRUCTIONS (ADVANCED)."
Control it from a closer position to this instrument.
Point the remote transmitter on the top of the remote
control unit (MAJ-898) to the remote sensor of this
instrument.
Remove the remote cable from this instrument or the
remote control unit (MAJ-898).
Flip through the print sheets together with the protective
sheet before placing them in the paper tray, referring to
the instructions in "3.2 Installation of the Color Printing
Pack (UPC-55) in "INSTRUCTIONS (BASIC)."
If there is no protective sheet, place other paper, such as
copy paper, on the printing surface of the print sheets so
that dust will not be accumulated on the printing surface.
