5.3 Setup of the BASIC
SETUP Menu
This menu is used in the basic setups of this instrument
as well as setups of its frequently used functions.
To display the BASIC SETUP menu

Press the MENU button to display the menu.

Press "b" or "B" to display the BASIC SETUP
menu, which can be identified with characters
"BASIC SETUP" on the top left of the monitor (see
Figure 5.2).

Setting "INPUT SEL"

Setting "LOAD COLOR"

Setting "DARK"

5.4 Setup of the HDTV
SETUP Menu
This menu is used in the basic setups of this instrument
when the HDTV signal is used as the input signal as well
as setups of its frequently used functions.
To display the HDTV SETUP menu

Press the MENU button to display the menu.

Press "b" or "B" to display the HDTV SETUP
menu, which can be identified with characters
"HDTV SETUP" on the top left of the monitor (See
Figure 5.3).

Setting "HD FORMAT"
This item is used to select the HDTV signal format when
the HDTV signal is input to this instrument.

Press "v" or "V" to move the cursor on "HD
FORMAT."
Characters "HD FORMAT" are displayed in green
when the cursor is positioned on this item.

Press "b" or "B" to select either "RGB" or
"YPbPr."
The selected setting is displayed in green on the
monitor.
RGB : The RGB component video signals
YPbPr : The color-difference video signals
Setting "HD SYNC (IN)"
This item is used to select the sync format when the
HDTV signal is input to this instrument.
This item cannot be set up if "YPbPr" is selected in "HD
FORMAT" in the HDTV SETUP menu because the sync
is fixed to G-ON.
