5.6 Setup of the
LAYOUT SETUP
Menu
This menu is used in the setup of the printed picture
layout.
To display the LAYOUT SETUP menu

Press the MENU button to initiate the menu
display.

Press "b" or "B" to display the LAYOUT SETUP
menu, which can be identified with characters
"LAYOUT SETUP" on the top left of the monitor
(see Figure 5.5).

Setting "MEMORY"
This item is used to set the memory page mode.
CAUTION
When the MEMORY setting is changed, if there are
unprinted image in the memory page, the image will not
be printed with the desired printing effect.
Be sure to confirm that there are no unprinted images in
the memory pages before changing the MEMORY
setting.

Press "v" or "V" to move the cursor on
"MEMORY."
Characters "MEMORY" are displayed in green
when the cursor is positioned on this item.

Press "b" or "B" to select either "FRAME" or
"FIELD."
The selected setting is displayed in green on the
monitor.
FRAME : Prints high-resolution images.
FIELD : The printed pictures have lower resolution
than the FRAME mode. (Contains less blurs. This
setup is effective for printing images containing
quick motions.)
Setting "MULTI PIX"
This item is used to set the number of images to be
printed (or the number of splitting of the print sheet).
"MULTI PIX" can also be set by the MULTI PICTURE
button on the front panel (see on page 31). Changing
either setup affects the setups of both this item and the
button.

Press "v" or "V" to move the cursor on "MULTI
PIX."
Characters "MULTI PIX" are displayed in green
when the cursor is positioned on this item.

Press "b" or "B" to select from among "1," "2,"
"4" and "8."
The selected setting is displayed in green on the
monitor.
Setting "SEPARATE"
This item is used to select whether white frames are
placed around the multi-picture images on the printed
picture and the monitor display (memory image) (see
Figure 5.6).
It cannot be set up, if "1" is selected in "Setting "MULTI
PIX"" on page 46.

Characters "SEPARATE" are displayed in green
when the cursor is positioned on this item.

Press "b" or "B" to select either "OFF" or "ON."
