TROUBLE
Engine does not start with starter run-
ning.
Exhaust gases white or light blue.
Exhaust gases occasionally tend to be
black.
Combustion noise occasionally re-
sembles a blow.
Abnormal noises (during combustion
or in mechanical parts).
CAUSE
• No fuel.

• Air in fuel system.

• Water in fuel system.


• Pump or fuel injection nozzle faulty.
• Starter makes engine run slowly.
• Preheating warning light does not
come on.
• Faulty compression.
• Excessive valve clearance.
• Too much oil in oil pan.

• Unsuitable fuel.
• Air filter clogged.
• Faulty nozzle.
• Faulty compression.
• Faulty nozzle.
• Fuel with low cetane rating.
• Overheating.


• Inside of exhaust silencer damaged.
• Excessive valve clearance.
