This chapter is a guide to all of the device-dependent commands for the LDC-3706 Laser
Controller. This chapter is divided into three parts.




LDC-3706 Compatible Commands
Running any remote calibration constant commands will overwrite the factory
calibration data stored on the instrument. It is recommended that the user contacts
ILX Lightwave for assistance prior to self-calibration. ILX Lightwave recommends an
annual calibration cycle at the factory. Contact your local sales representative for
more information.

Remote Command Reference Summary

This section contains all of the commands for the LDC-3706, listed in alphabetical order. Table 4.1
contains a list and a description of each IEEE 488.1 common command. Table 4.2 contains the
instrument specific commands. Unless otherwise noted, each of the instrument specific commands
has a corresponding query without a parameter.
The LDC-3706 controller uses SCPI standard commands. In order to maintain compatibility with
standalone temperature controllers and current sources, the LDC-3706 implements two logical
instruments. The commands preceded by INSTrument allow selection of either the TEC
(temperature controller) or LAS (current source) logical instruments. Ensure that the correct
instrument is selected by sending "INSTrument LAS" or "INSTrument TEC". Some commands
listed in Table 4.2 operate on only one logic instrument while some operate on both as identified
by the column on the right.
