Cowl assembly when fitting a gas
or glow engine.
Drill 5 x 2mm holes in the
cowling for the fixing
screws.

Checking the tank for leaks. Block the vents and
blow into the feed - if in doubt submersing the tank in
a bowl of water will show up any problems (10B).
Trim the cowling to clear the silencer, carburetor and plug.
Best to remove the exhaust whilst trimming then re-fit and
check the clearance.

Assemble the fuel tank as shown.
Once tested position the tank
inside the fuselage directly behind

the firewall and secure in place.
Feed the fuel pipes through the
hole in the center to the engine.

The front of the cowling
should be 4-6mm back
from the face of the
prop driver.

Drill 5 x 1.5mm holes for
the cowl fixing screws.
Remove the exhaust, fit the cowl using
the 5 off 2.5 x 10mm screws then refit
the exhaust.
