Caution
Do not allow steam from the
open chamber door to con-
tact the paper tape. The
steam's heat will blacken the
paper, making the tape
unreadable.
Note
A colored stripe along the
edge of the paper indicates
that you are approaching the
end of the tape. When the
stripe appears,
approximately 23 inches of
paper remain, enough for
2-3 cycles. Replace the tape
before it is completely
exhausted to ensure a
complete record of your
sterilization procedures.

The printer is a thermal printer that provides a
paper tape record for future reference. The printed
paper tape is verification of sterilizer performance,
load control identification and quality assurance
checks for each cycle.
The printer operates with electronic impulses on
special paper. It requires no ribbons and therefore
no ribbon changing. The printer is located below
the keypad on the front of the sterilizer.

Printer Access

The printer is protected by a protective cover. The
printer cover pulls off the front when you squeeze
the pins on each side and pull forward. The printer
will then slide forward when you pull gently on the
metal tab provided on the leading edge of the print-
ed circuit board.
The printed paper tape exits the printer through a
slot in the access door. The slot also allows for
easily tearing off the paper tape as needed.

Paper Advance Button

A paper advance button is located on the upper
right corner of the printer. Pressing the paper
advance button while the printer is inactive will
advance the paper through the printer. The paper
advance button is useful for installing a new roll of
paper tape and for advancing a tape for tearing off
at the end of a sterilization cycle.
