To install v6.0 IIS/FTP:
1. Right-click the Server Desktop icon, and select Manage.
2. Click the plus sign (+) beside "Roles" in the right pane and select Web Server (IIS).
A lists of Web Server IIS services running, and features installed are displayed.
3. Scroll to the "Role Services" section in the left pane and observe that the "FTP
Management Console" is "Not installed."
4. In the Role Services section, select "Add Role Services" scroll to "FTP Publishing
Service" at the bottom and check "FTP Management Console" and click Next.
5. Click Install.
6. Click Close when installation completes.
To start the IIS/FTP v6.0 Manager:
1. Click Start > Run and type

Unsupported Windows Update

The FTP service used in the ISIS File Gateway does not support Microsoft Windows Update
number KB2489256. If you have Windows Update set to run automatically, this update
number KB2489256 will fail.
Locate the KB2489256 update in the Windows Update list and set it to hidden so that this
update does not appear. To hide updates, right-click on the individual update and select hide
update.

Loading the Software

The Avid ISIS software is loaded onto the system using a USB flash drive. The system ships
with two USB flash drives:
• The 4 GB USB flash drive includes the Avid ISIS software kit.
• The 16 GB USB flash drive is intended to be used as a bootable USB flash drive with
Avid ISIS Product Recovery image. For instructions on creating the bootable USB flash
