Batteries
Batteries are used for backup power source in case of power outage. A controller enclosure has two batteries.
The batteries are charged from an external power source while the ETERNUS AF is running normally. If a power
failure is detected, the cache data in the system memory is saved to the BUD in the controller by using battery
power. There is no limit to the post-failure data retention time.
Batteries for the ETERNUS AF650 S3 have LEDs.
