For transmission in environments subjected to heavy interfer
ence, as well as for extending the range when high trans
mission speeds are used, we recommend optical−fire wave
guide technology.
This offers the following advantages:
High EMC compatibility, high electromagnetic resistance
to interference due to the optical transmission of the
signals
Protection against lightning
Potential isolation of the individual Interbus slaves
The Interbus interface of the field bus node is suitable for the
Phoenix Contact Interbus/optical−fibre waveguide converter
Optosub Plus (protection class IP20), and supports the con
trol of network components for optical−fibre waveguides.
