CAUTION
Using the orthosis with incorrect heel height of the shoe
In certain cases, this can lead to falling caused by:
► Altered swing phase triggering behaviour due to incorrect heel height.
→ Only use the orthosis with shoes that have the heel height specified at the initial fitting.
4.2.6 Information – proximity to certain areas
CAUTION
Proximity to sources of strong magnetic or electrical interference
This may lead to falling caused by:
► Malfunctioning of the orthosis.
→ Avoid proximity to sources of strong magnetic or electrical interference (such as high-tension power lines,
transmitters, transformers, computer tomography,...).
CAUTION
Exposure to high temperatures
This may lead to falling caused by:
► Malfunctioning of the orthosis.
► Breakage of load-bearing components.
→ Avoid exposure to extremely high temperatures (allowable temperature range see Page 77).

4.2.7 Information on Use

CAUTION
Improper mode switching
In certain situations, this can lead to falling caused by:
► Unintentional mode selection resulting in altered damping behaviour of the orthosis (e.g. under flexion load in
cycling mode).
→ The patient must stand securely during all switching processes.
→ Verify the desired functionality after switching (observe acoustic feedback signals).
→ Switch back to 1st mode when the activities in 2nd mode are concluded.
→ Take weight off the orthosis and correct switching if required.
CAUTION
Risk of pinching in the joint mechanism
This can lead to injuries caused by:
► Pinching the fingers or the skin when flexing the orthosis.
→ Do not reach into the joint mechanism while sitting down or flexing the orthosis.
