INSpECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING

WARNING! Make sure the Stone Grinder is disconnected from its electrical outlet

any other condition that may affect safe operation. If abnormal noise or vibration
occurs, have the problem corrected before further use.

To change Abrasive Disc (57): The Stone Grinder uses a 4" diameter Abrasive

Disc. To change discs, press and hold the Spindle Lock (20) and rotate the disc
until it engages. Use the Double End Wrench (60) to loosen and remove the Disc
Nut (56). Remove the old Abrasive Disc and install a new Disc. While pressing
down on the Spindle Lock, use the Double End Wrench to tighten the Disc Nut.

To clean or replace the Carbon brushes (46): It may become necessary at
sometime to replace or clean
the two Carbon Brushes when
the Motor performance de-
creases, or stops working com-
pletely. The Carbon Brushes
are located within the Shroud
(39). (See figure H.)
