Preliminary Work

Vehicle
• Open the fuel tank cap.
• Ventilate the fuel tank.
• Close the fuel tank cap again.
• Depressurise the cooling system.
• Disconnect and remove the battery.
• Remove the windscreen wiper.
• Remove the coolant reservoir cap.
• Remove the coolant reservoir partition wall.
• Remove the windscreen wiper motor.
• Remove the air filter together with the intake hose.
• Remove the underride protection.
• Remove the right vehicle underbody trim.
• Fold up the seating surface of the rear bench seat.
• Open the tank-fitting service lid.
• Remove the light switch.
• Detach the central electrical box under the steering wheel.
• Remove the side instrument panel trim on the left.
• Remove the A/C control panel (only with automatic air-conditioning).
Heater
• Remove years that do not apply from the type and duplicate label.
• Attach the duplicate label (type label) in the appropriate place in the engine compartment.
