Connect Cables and Power On

Connecting DS60 shelves

The cabling diagrams in this section show maximum configurations. Not all systems will have all the
disk shelves shown in the diagrams.
When connecting DS60 shelves, all the cables have HD-mini-SAS connectors at both ends.
Add shelf-to-shelf cables between shelves in a loop and to the controller as shown in the diagrams.
Connect an FS25 shelf with DS60 shelves
Connect the FS25 shelf to the controller as shown in the diagrams.

DD9900 with DS60 cabling

The DD9900 system supports a maximum of five shelves. The diagram shows them cabled in two
sets of two shelves each, and one set of one shelf. The FS25 SSD shelf is cabled as a separate set
from the DS60 shelves.

The SSD shelf counts towards the total number of shelves connected to the system.
