Replacing the Module

The SA9A1 module and I/O module can be replaced while the system is
energized or not energized.
When replacing them while the system is energized, set the maintenance switch
to the up (MAINT) position for the SA9A1 module and I/O module.
When the maintenance switch is set to MAINT, the I/O module stops
communication. It is just like removing the I/O module in terms of the signal.
Therefore, major failure occurs in the I/O module. The controller goes down if
"I/O node fallback is not operated" is specified. To avoid this, specify "I/O node
fallback is operated."
For the SA9A1, remove the TC-net I/O loop transmission cable from the module.
Loosen the fixing screw on the top of the module, and rotate the module
downward to pull it off.
Upon replacement, note the following.
・ Make sure that the replaced module is the same model.
・ Set the hexadecimal rotary switch and 4-bit dip switch to the same setting as
the module before replacement.
・ After installing the module, set the maintenance switch to the down (RUN)
position.
・ If the module does not start by setting the switch to the down (RUN) position,
set it to the up (MAINT) position once, and set it to the down (RUN) position
again.

Before touching the module or inserting or
removing the transmission cable, wear a
wrist strap and white cotton gloves.
Ground the wrist strap to remove static
electricity.
Otherwise, it may cause damage or failure of the module.
When placing the module during
replacement, use a conductive mat.

When setting the maintenance switch to
MAINT, specify "Fallback is operated" to
prevent the controller from going down.
When the maintenance switch is set to MAINT, the module
communication stops and major failure occurs. The
controller goes down if no fallback is specified. .
