Cabling storage expansion enclosures to a DS4000 storage server

Attention:
DS4000 storage server installation only. For additions to an existing DS4000
storage server installation, refer to the IBM TotalStorage DS4000 Fibre Channel
Hard Drive and Storage Expansion Enclosure Installation and Migration Guide.
This section discusses the procedure for cabling the DS4000 EXP700 and DS4000
EXP710 storage expansion enclosures to supported DS4000 storage servers. It
provides cabling instructions and diagrams for creating redundant fibre-channel
loops, and it also provides cabling instructions and illustrations for connecting single
storage expansion enclosures or storage expansion enclosure loops to your
DS4000 storage server.
The following steps summarize the procedure for setting up a storage subsystem
that includes a DS4000 storage server and one or more DS4000 EXP700 or
DS4000 EXP710 storage expansion enclosures. Each step in the following
summary is described in detail in the following sections.
