MAINTAINING YOUR McLAREN
FUSES AND RELAYS
Battery Fuse Box
Battery Fuse Box Access
1. Open the luggage compartment lid and
remove any stowed items. The battery
access panel should now be accessible.
2. Use the T15 Torx key supplied in the
accessory bag (See "The Emergency
Tool Set" on page 15.) to remove the
screws securing the battery access panel
in the luggage compartment.
3. Remove the battery access panel. There
is a HVIL cut loop cable connected to the
battery: this is only to be used by
emergency services.
4. Press the two catches on the right-hand
side of the cover and remove the cover
from the fuse box.
5. Remove the appropriate fuse and
replace it with a fuse of the same value
as the original. If in doubt, check the fuse
specification chart.
6. Engage the left-hand side of the cover
with the fuse box, and push the right-
hand side down to fully engage the clips.
7. Refit the battery access panel and
secure in position with the screws
removed in step 2.
