BATTERY CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Operating the Charger
1. Switch on the supply to the charger
using the in-line RCD (Residual Current
Device).
NOTE: The ON/OFF switch on the
charger will be illuminated red to
indicate that it is receiving a mains
voltage supply.

2. Press the ON/OFF switch (1) to begin the
charging process.
Charging status is indicated by the
condition of the LEDs on the charger and
also messages displayed on the
instrument cluster if the ignition is on.
WARNING: If you detect leaking fluids or
any other indication of damage to the
HV battery area, stop charging, move the
vehicle away from buildings and other
vehicles if safe to do so and contact the
emergency services immediately.
Charger status LEDs (Light Emitting
Diodes)
There are five multi-coloured LEDs on the
charger which display the status of the
following:
1. Charger status (also ON/OFF switch)
2. Cable and connector status
3. 12V battery status
4. Vehicle status
5. HV battery status
The following table shows the meaning of
each LED colour:
LED Colour
Meaning
None (LED off)
Not powered
Solid green
OK / complete
Pulsing green
In progress
Flashing amber
User action required
Flashing red
Fault detected
