2. Rotate the protective cap in the
direction shown approximately 1/16th
of a turn and pull to disconnect it from
the charge port and place onto service
tray.
WARNING: The protective cap may be
hot if the vehicle has been in use.
NOTE: If the vehicle is on when the
protective cap is removed the parking
brake will be applied and neutral gear will
be selected automatically to immobilise
the vehicle: this is to prevent the vehicle
moving.
NOTE: The driver can release the parking
brake and select a driving gear if
necessary in order to remobilise the
vehicle in case the protective cap is lost.
3. Push the connector onto the charge
port until fully seated. An audible click
sound should be heard when the two red
dots are in alignment and fully
connected.
WARNING: Do not allow the service tray
access panel to rest on the charger
cable.
WARNING: Position the charger wiring to
avoid trip hazards and damage to the
wiring or vehicle during the charging
process.
WARNING: Do not coil any charger wiring
whilst the charger is plugged in or
connected to the vehicle as overheating
may occur.
NOTE: When the charger is connected to
the vehicle the parking brake will be
applied and neutral gear will be selected
automatically to immobilise the vehicle
if not already done manually by the
driver.
NOTE: The driver cannot release the
parking brake or select a driving gear in
order to remobilise the vehicle until the
charger is disconnected from the
vehicle.
