MAINTAINING YOUR McLAREN
FUSES AND RELAYS
6. The replacement process is the reverse
to removal. Take care to align the centre
console trim before re-securing the
push studs.
7. Use a suitable tool to press the lower
edge of the carpet to its originally fitted
position: repeat this exercise for the right
side of the carpet.
Main Fuse Box
Main fuse box location
The main fuse box is in the passenger's
footwell.
1. Release the clips securing the panel
cover to the fuse box and remove the
cover.
2. Refer to the fuse specification chart
inside the panel cover to determine
which fuse protects the non-functioning
electrical system.
For your guidance there are tables that
follow this page that identify the
functions of the various fuses.
3. Remove the appropriate fuse and
replace it with a fuse of the same value
as the original. If in doubt, check the fuse
specification chart.
NOTE: If the HVIL fuse (F17 - covered
with a yellow sticker) is removed, the
vehicle will become immobilised.
4. Fit the panel cover back onto the fuse
box.
NOTE: If a replacement fuse does not
solve the electrical problem, or it fails
immediately, contact your McLaren
Retailer.
