The automatic emergency braking system and automatic
emergency braking system for pedestrians will only be
activated if the following conditions are met:
• The dynamic stability control system (SCS) and traction
control system (TCS) are fault-free and ON.
• The vehicle is in D or N.
• The airbags are not deployed.
Note: In some cases, the driver may not have
anticipated any braking intervention and does not
want to apply the brakes whilst the automatic
emergency braking system and automatic emergency
braking system for pedestrians are braking heavily.

that it is safe to do so.

located in the infotainment display.

start stop switch illuminates green (ON/READY), the
switch of the system defaults to ON. When the driver
actively selects to turn off the function, a prompt
message will be displayed in the information message
centre in the instrument pack and a pop up message
will appear in the infotainment display.
