Removing a 3.5-inch cabled hard drive carrier

Before you begin
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. If installed, remove the front bezel.
4. If connected, disconnect the power and data cable from the hard drive.
Procedure
1. Press the release tab on the hard drive carrier and slide the hard drive carrier out of the hard
2. Insert a hard drive blank in the empty hard drive slot.
