Power interposer board

The power interposer board (PIB) is a board that connects the redundant power supply units
(PSUs) to the system board. The PIB is only supported in systems with redundant PSUs.

Removing the power interposer board

Before you begin
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.
2. Follow the procedure listed in the Before working inside your system section.
3. Remove the PSUs from the system.
4. Keep the Phillips #2 screwdriver ready.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the power distribution cables from the system board.
2. Disconnect the fan cable.
3. Remove the two screws securing the PIB to the chassis and lift the board out of the chassis.

Note:
The power interposer board (PIB) is present only in systems that support redundant
power supply units (PSUs).
