SHORT CIRCUIT TO BATTERY ERROR ON POWER STAGE FOR THE COMPRESSOR

AC COMPRESSOR POWER STAGE
The AC Compressor is controlled by the EMS ECU under the feedback of the temperature sensing
unit in the HVAC system and pressure sensors measuring the pressure of the refrigerant flow in
the air conditioning circuit. The ECU monitors the status of the Power Stage (Actuator) of the
Compressor Clutch for monitoring hardware errors such as short circuit to battery, Short circuit
to ground and Open load
NORMAL OPERATION
Ignition ON
EMS ECU switches ON the compressor once it recieves AC
switch ON signal thru thermoamplifier via high low
pressure switch
No malfunction detected by EMS ECU in the AC compressor
power circuit
DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS
Ignition ON
EMS ECU supply voltage 8-16V
Short to battery is detected in AC compressor relay control
circuit
DTC REACTIONS
AC Compressor Shuts OFF
HEALING CONDITION
Ignition Off/On
