Abduction
Tibial Registration (cont.)
For steps 13-15, follow the feedback on the pod
attached to the tibial alignment guide.
13. Bring the leg into abduction. Once the green
LED stops blinking hold the knee steady until the
acquisition sound is heard.
14. Bring the leg into adduction. Once the green
LED stops blinking hold the knee steady until the
acquisition sound is heard.
15. Bring the leg into neutral position. Once the green
LED stops blinking hold the knee steady until the
acquisition sound is heard.
Note: To restart the tibial registration, press
the "Z" button on the pod attached to the tibial
aligment guide.

16. Loosen the blue knob on the distal end of the tibial
alignment guide.
17. Unspike the proximal part of the tibial alignment
guide from the tibia using a slaphammer.
Note: The Persona Slaphammer (provided by
Zimmer) or the NexGen Slaphammer Extractor
(provided by Zimmer) can be used to remove
the guide.
18. Remove the distal part of the tibial alignment
guide from the malleoli.
Warning: Do not pull on the distal part of the
tibial alignment guide until both spikes have
been fully removed from the tibia. Doing so
might result in bending of the spikes.
