The RS485 module also includes RS485 line bias resistors to bias an un-driven line to a
known condition. ONE module only in a system should have these enabled by inserting
jumpers J1 and J2 - normally this would be done on the unit configured as a MASTER
station.
The RS485 module is supplied with J1, J2 and J3 installed by default.

Data log mode

The Hydro-View provides a continuous stream of data output on the relevant port which
may be captured by an external device.
This data stream is in ASCII format and contains the NOW and AVERAGE moisture
values according to the programmed data log rate.
The data format used is as follows...
<STX>NNN.NN,AAA.AA<CRLF>
where...
<STX>
NNN.NN
AAA.AA
<CRLF>
The data rate/format used is 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit. This cannot be
altered.
The data logging format changes when the unit is configured as a Master on the other
serial port. The data stream is again in ASCII format and contains the GROUP moisture
values updated according to the programmed data log rate.
The data format used is as follows...
<STX>MMM.MM,NNN.NN,AAA.AA<CRLF>
where...
<STX>
MMM.MM
NNN.NN
